NORRIS VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT


TRAINING and DRILLS

Norris Volunteer Fire Department meets on a regular basis, usually twice a month to train on the lastest fire fighting techinques and to learn about various safety subjects such as CPR. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at the fire station which is located behind the city hall.

In 2003 we hosted two academy courses during the first three months of the year. The first was Emergency Vehicle Driver and it was followed by Pumper Operations which trained us on the proper setup and usage of the fire trucks and how to calculate the water flows needed to fight a fire.
